Katherine Engle - Section Leader, Soprano
Katherine Engle is the head choir director at Guyer High School in Denton Texas and has taught high school choir for seven years. Choirs under Ms. Engle’s direction have consistently earned Superior ratings at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest and have been successful at Solo and Ensemble, Region, and State contests. In the last seven years, 21 of her students earned a place in the TMEA All State Choir. Prior to her time at Guyer, she served as the Associate Director of Choirs at Byron Nelson High School and as the music director of the Northwest ISD Middle School Musical.
Ms. Engle holds a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Oklahoma State University where she studied under Dr. Z. Randall Stroope and a Masters in Music Education from the University of North Texas. Ms. Engle is a native Texan and was a 3-Year Texas All State Choir member.
