The summer of 2023 will be the fourth year for Amy Jezek to work with the TWU All-State Choir Camp. Not only is she thrilled to keep ties with her alma mater, but she gets to continue working with incredibly motivated young singers in the North Texas area as they start their preparation for All-State choir auditions. Mrs. Jezek is a UNT and TWU alumni. She graduated in 2018 from TWU with her Master of Arts degree in Music Education. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda music honors fraternity as well as professional music organizations including TMEA, TCDA, and NAfME.
Amy Jezek teaches Kindergarten through 12th grade music in Slidell ISD (go Greyhounds!). Her favorite part of her daily music teaching and music making is getting to teach all the students in her district at some point in their Greyhound career. She considers it a huge blessing to know the names, faces, and musical interests of all her students in the small but growing area in Eastern Wise County.
When not at school, Mrs. Jezek loves to spend time with her husband drinking coffee and laughing at the crazy smart things their six year old son, Jamie, the math genius, says. Her toddler, Savanna, keeps her on her toes as she never stops moving. Never. If the Jezeks get a free weekend, they pull their camper to the lake and enjoy a campfire!
